legal / free graf walls

Before the hacker killed our hosting company in August, we were well on our way to building a map application that held all the skate parks in the US. As I was gathering the content I was blown away by the sheer number of skate parks that have popped up. I don't know exactly when or how, but suburbia has embraced skate culture enough to plop a rinky dink park ontop of some old tennis court or in the back of a mall parking lot.

So in recovering what was left of the map application from the server I started playing with the idea of legal graf walls mapped out with a google map. As I started searching, I found little to nothing as to where there were legal / free graf walls. I found it hard to believe that there wasn't any info anywhere. I dug deeper and came up with a tiny list of walls. I'd like to know why America has embraced skate culture and not graf culture, where both are viewed as destructive youth movements by the general population.

We're hoping to get a comprehensive list here.

This app is still in early development. We've just added comment abilities, and soon we'll be adding more features including ratings, and most likely photo uploads. To comment, just click the "add" tab in the bubble and fire away.
